Dear Eppler Chieftain Faithful,

The entire Eppler staff would like to thank all of you for your generosity and hospitality in taking such good care of us through this whole Staff Appreciation Week!! Thank you for the daily treats, a wonderful breakfast and lunch, and your all too generous gift cards!! We really like the personalized tumblers!! We truly appreciate all you did, and especially want to thank Ms. Boucher, Ms. Siegert, and Ms. Varghese, for managing all your efforts! We do not take lightly the fact that you entrust your children to us every single day, and are so very grateful for your appreciation. Thank you, one and all!!!

Our last Eppler Parent Involvement Committee (EPIC) meeting of the school year will be held this Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 9:05 am in the Media Center Conference Room. ALL are welcome to join us!!   • Much like Elton John’s third “farewell” tour, our yearbooks are again available. Our publisher has given us an extension through May 31, 2022. Please don’t miss this “last” opportunity to purchase a yearbook for your student! Please see Page 3 for the latest details.

  • Parent help is needed in our Intro to Computer Science course, which we partner with the Microsoft Philanthropies TEALS group to run. If you are an IT gal or guy, please see Page 9 and come join us! Please and Thank You!

  • Our Drama Classes have their final production of the Year, as they present "Goldilocks on Trial" on Thursday, May 26 at 7:00 pm in the Drama Room. Please refer to Page 10.

  • The amazing work of our Artists of the Month can be found on Pages 11 – 12 for your viewing pleasure!

  • Our Chieftains of the Month for May are honored on Page 13. Check it out!

  • Crevolution Robotics is looking for YOU! Please see Page 14 to find out how you can be involved!

  • Mr. Paul is looking for a few good people to join and help sustain our Eppler Athletic Boosters organization. Both Pages 14 and 17 hold the details. We’d love to have you be a part of this necessary parent group!

  • All information about athletics at both Eppler and Utica High has now been grouped together on Pages 17 – 22.

  • Macomb Community College is hosting a STEM Challenge Summer Camp June 20 and 21, 2022. Please refer to Page 25 for details.

  • Please refer to Pages 26 – 27 for information about the Pandemic-EBT program for free and reduced lunches.

  • Please join us in the UCS-Sterling Heights Support Our Sports (SOS) 5K Run/Walk being held Saturday, June 4, 2022. Page 28 has the registration information.

  • Information about UCS summer happenings, such as Summer Camps and Enrichment Programs, School Age Child Care (SACC) Summer Camp, and Kindergarten Readiness Programs fill Pages 29 – 31.

  • Much of the district’s focus has been on Social Emotional Learning (SEL), to allow us to expend our energies on the holistic well-being of each and every one of our students. NJHS is continuing to sponsor a recycling fundraiser in partnership with PlanetGreen. They have made a few changes and they are no longer accepting large toner cartridges. Please do not send in the toner cartridges. They do accept:

 Cell phones
 MP3
 IPods
 Cameras
 E-readers
 Calculators
 Tablets
 Video games, consoles, accessories
It helps Eppler earn money and it helps the landfills! NJHS students can earn hours for donating items, but anyone can bring these items to room 19. Thank you for your support! Please check out for more information.
